Overview

This guide explains how to replace an existing Category Page in talentsconnect Home with a new version while keeping the existing URL.

Prerequisites

• Access to talentsconnect Home with editing rights for Category Pages
• Path and slug of the old Category Page (note these down before you start)

Step-by-Step

1. Create a new Category Page: Create a new Category Page in talentsconnect Home with the desired content.
2. Open settings: Go to the settings of the new page and open the "General & SEO" section.
3. Apply path and slug: Enter the exact path and slug of the old Category Page there. This makes the new page accessible under the previous URL.
4. Save: After saving, the new page will be live under the old URL.

Common Issues

New page does not appear under the desired URL: Check whether the path and slug were copied exactly from the old page. Even a small typo or a missing slash can cause the old page to continue being served.

Old page should be deactivated: Deactivating the old Category Page is not possible. As long as the path and slug are set correctly on the new page, the new page will be served. The old one can remain in the system.
