XML Job Feed

The XML job feed from talentsconnect simplifies integration with various third-party systems and job platforms. By integrating job listings from the JobShop, distributing jobs becomes easier, resulting in increased visitor numbers. This enables you to reach a broader pool of potential applicants and improves the visibility of job listings.

What is the XML job feed?

The XML job feed is a file at a fixed URL. It contains all published jobs from your JobShop in a format that job platforms can read automatically. The platform retrieves this URL on a regular basis and imports the jobs – you do not need to post them individually on each platform.

How your jobs reach the job platform:

ATS → JobShop → XML job feed → Job platform

• ATS: Your applicant tracking system. This is typically where you manage your jobs.
• JobShop: Jobs from the ATS are transferred to the JobShop and published there.
• XML job feed: The feed is generated from the published jobs in the JobShop.
• Job platform: The platform (e.g. Indeed) retrieves the feed and displays the jobs.

How do I get access to the XML job feed?

You can easily get access to the XML job feed by contacting our support team (support@talentsconnect.com). Our team will provide you with the feed URL right away.

What features does the XML job feed have?

• The job feed in XML format does not require authentication.
• All published jobs from a JobShop are always included in the job feed.
• The job category assigned in the JobShop is output in the XML job feed.
• The caching interval of the XML job feed is set to 30 minutes.
  • i.e. new jobs or changes to existing jobs will always be available in the XML job feed within 30 minutes at the latest.
• Please note: Jobs published with multiple locations are listed multiple times in the XML job feed – once per location – as many platforms (in particular Indeed) cannot process jobs with multiple locations.

What do I need to keep in mind regarding job platforms?

Subheadings come from the ATS

In the JobShop, the page template generates fixed subheadings, e.g. "Tasks" or "Profile". These headings are not transferred to job platforms – the feed only contains the job text from the ATS.

If you want the job to appear structured on the platform, the subheadings must already be included in the job text in the ATS.

Update the feed link after a correction

If the feed has been corrected, you must update the feed link in your account on the job platform yourself. This does not happen automatically.

Are there specific features for the Indeed integration?

If the XML job feed is used specifically for the Indeed integration, the URL mentioned above can be submitted to Indeed per JobShop either by us or directly by you.

Please note: Indeed retrieves the XML job feed at 6-hour intervals. This means that changes to jobs or the inclusion of new jobs will always take approximately 6 hours to become visible.

What is the data structure of the XML job feed?

The Indeed documentation was used as the basis for mapping the information on our side, so the job feed is primarily optimised to meet Indeed's requirements.
