E-Mail-Application 2.0

How email applications can now be managed even more easily:

For recruiters, the e-mail inbox is often still a central place for managing applications - especially when companies do not use an applicant management system. This is also the case for many JobShop customers.

To make sure that managing applications does not become an odyssey when looking at the mailbox every day, we have made some optimizations with e-mail application 2.0. These allow recruiters to screen and assign applications in the mailbox more quickly. At the same time, with this update we resolve technical hurdles regarding the processing of documents and attachments for applications sent by e-mail.

What's new?

Recruiters receive more information about candidates directly visible in the sent email application. Information such as name, e-mail address and other job data (company, location), which was previously hidden in an encrypted file, now appears in the subject line. This makes them directly searchable in plain text in the inbox.

To break down the technical barriers that have arisen, especially when delivering application attachments to companies, we now enable different options that can be selected per customer. Sending application attachments can now be....

  • still be sent as a password-protected ZIP file
  • as an unencrypted ZIP file, or
  • be configured as individual files

...to avoid technical problems with in-house IT when receiving attachments.

If customers decide to send unencrypted files, candidates are informed about this transparently when they submit their application. In this way, we also comply with the applicable data protection guidelines throughout the entire process.

In addition, customers who have a job interface can now also transmit the e-mail address of the recruiter to whom the applications are to be sent - fully automated and changeable at any time by the recruiter in the third-party system.

What is the advantage for you as a recruiter?

The targeted search of applications in the e-mail inbox saves you time through faster response times to applications. You no longer have to go via internal IT to process application attachments in the e-mail inbox.
