This glossary explains the most important terms, products and concepts related to talentsconnect.

A

RoleAD (Account Director)
Sales role in the Revenue Tribe, responsible for new customer acquisition. ADs own the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close.
ConceptAgile
Project management philosophy based on iterative work cycles (sprints), continuous feedback and cross-functional collaboration.
RoleAM (Account Manager)
Customer-facing role responsible for maintaining existing client relationships, renewals and expansion. AMs are measured on Renewal ARR and Expansion ARR.
TechnicalAPI
Interface between software systems. Used at talentsconnect to retrieve job data from ATS systems and push applications back.
TechnicalApimonster (APM)
Retrieves job data from the customer's ATS and sends applications from the JobShop back to the ATS. Central integration layer between the HR system and the talentsconnect platform.
TechnicalApimonster Config
Configuration that defines how jobs should be retrieved from the customer's ATS. It allows ATS job data to be normalised and converted into the talentsconnect platform format.
ConceptApplicant
A person who wishes to apply for a position – ideally through the JobShop.
ConceptApplication
Information submitted by a candidate when applying for a position. Three types:
Fast Application: Direct forwarding to the ATS without external redirection.
Export Application: Data is saved and manually downloaded by the customer.
Email Application: Data is sent to the recruiter via email.
TechnicalApplication Property
Tenant-specific setting in ChatAgent that can only be configured by a Super Admin. Various setting types allow individual customisation of tenant behaviour.
MetricARR (Annual Recurring Revenue)
Total value of recurring subscription revenue over 12 months. The most important financial metric at talentsconnect. Broken down into: New ARR, Expansion ARR and Renewal ARR.
TechnicalATS (Applicant Tracking System)
System for managing the application process. Open positions are created in the ATS, retrieved by Apimonster, and applications are pushed back to it.
ConceptAutomation / Assessment
ChatAgent feature: a single questionnaire that can be triggered for multiple candidates simultaneously. The dashboard shows how many candidates have started, completed or not responded – including their answers.
ConceptAVV (Data Processing Agreement)
Data protection contract (Data Processing Agreement) between customers and talentsconnect, which is mandatory under GDPR. Customers can sign the AVV electronically at talentsconnect.com/avv.

B

TechnicalBackoffice (BO)
PHP monolith that serves the classic JobShop frontend and provides APIs for talentsconnect home. Being gradually replaced by newer services.
MetricBounce Rate
Proportion of visits where users leave the JobShop on the entry page without clicking anything. Scrolling does not count as an interaction.
ProductBroadcast / Bulk Messages
ChatAgent feature: enables sending a message to multiple candidates simultaneously – either immediately or scheduled.

C

ProductCanvassing
Internal employee referral system in the JobShop. Existing employees can refer candidates for open positions directly through the JobShop.
ProductCareerShop
Variant of the JobShop as an employer branding career portal. Also referred to as CareerShop depending on the customer configuration.
ConceptCategory (Job Category)
An offering category that can be assigned to a job listing and multiple JobShops. Used to structure and filter positions in the candidate-facing frontend.
MetricChannel Performance
Analytics area in the JobShop: shows how different marketing channels (LinkedIn, Google, direct traffic, etc.) contribute to visits, apply clicks and applications. Based on UTM parameters.
ProductChatAgent
talentsconnect product for AI-powered recruiting via (1) WhatsApp application and (2) AI Webchat on the careers page. ChatAgent can also post jobs on Kleinanzeigen.
ConceptChurn
Loss of a customer due to cancellation or non-renewal of their contract. Tracked as a revenue metric (churned ARR) and as a customer count.
ConceptCluster
Job property in the JobShop: allows the same job to be displayed at multiple locations without duplicating it. Typical for franchise or multi-location customers.
TechnicalContent Module
Job-related content blocks in the JobShop, e.g. header, contact person and job description layout. Can be configured individually per job.
MetricConversion Rate (CVR)
Proportion of users who completed a desired action. Macro-CVR = share of all visitors who submitted an application. Micro-CVRs measure intermediate steps.
RoleCorporate User
User in the tenant without a franchise assignment (groupId). Has read access to jobs and metrics for all franchises within the tenant.
RoleCSM (Customer Success Manager)
Point of contact at talentsconnect for the ongoing customer relationship. Supports customers in using the platform, conducts performance calls and coordinates internal topics.
ConceptCustom Filter
Filter in the JobShop, configured individually for a customer – either manually or from the data feed. Allows candidates to filter by specific criteria.
ConceptCustomer Tribe
Customer-facing organisational unit at talentsconnect – encompasses Customer Success, Support, Onboarding and related roles. Also referred to as "CT".

D

ProductDashboards
Visual reporting tools in talentsconnect home that display KPIs and metrics. Allow customers to monitor and analyse JobShop performance.
ConceptDIAL
Delivery management framework in the Customer Tribe. Four phases: Diagnose → Intervene → Activate → Lead.
ConceptDSGVO / GDPR
EU General Data Protection Regulation. All talentsconnect products must be GDPR-compliant. Customers can sign the AVV (Data Processing Agreement) electronically. See also: AVV.

E

ConceptEmployer Branding
The shaping and promotion of a company as an attractive employer. The JobShop is talentsconnect's central employer branding product.

F

TechnicalFeature Flag
Mechanism for enabling/disabling features without a new code deployment. Allows gradual roll-outs or customer-specific activations.
TechnicalFlexibleTrackingParameters
UTM or other tracking parameters passed along with external links and applications from the JobShop. Enable attribution to campaigns or channels.
ProductFollow-Up Message
ChatAgent message sent to a candidate after they have consented to being contacted via WhatsApp.
ProductFrame Questionnaire
Questionnaire configured in ChatAgent: questions from it are asked to candidates at the start of the application process, followed by job-specific screening questions.
ConceptFranchise / Group
Group of franchise users sharing the same groupId within a tenant. Used for data segmentation with multi-location or franchise customers.
ProductFreshdesk
Ticketing platform used by the talentsconnect support team. Customer enquiries submitted via email (technical-support@talentsconnect.com) are created as tickets in Freshdesk.

G

ProductGoHiring
Feature in talentsconnect home: publish job listings on third-party job boards (e.g. Indeed, StepStone) directly from talentsconnect.
MetricGRR (Gross Revenue Retention)
Share of recurring revenue from existing customers, excluding expansion revenue. GRR 100% = no revenue loss due to churn. See also: NRR.

I

ProductInternal Job Board
Internal, SSO-secured careers portal for a company's employees. Used for internal job postings or employee mobility.

J

TechnicalJKey
Internal ChatAgent key used to identify a questionnaire. Passed via URL by certain tenants to reuse the same questionnaire across multiple job listings.
ProductJobShop
talentsconnect's core product: a customisable, hosted job portal that companies use to reach candidates, display jobs and process applications.
RoleJour Fixe
Regular, scheduled meeting – typically between a CSM and the customer – to discuss project status or the customer relationship.

K

ProductKleinanzeigen
Major German online classifieds and job board (formerly eBay Kleinanzeigen). ChatAgent can publish job ads for any JobShop customer directly on Kleinanzeigen – independent of the ATS.
TechnicalKombo
External ATS integration middleware with a standardised API layer. Significantly reduces integration effort per ATS system.
MetricKPI (Key Performance Indicator)
Measurable value used to assess performance. In the JobShop context: visits, applications, conversion rate, bounce rate, cost per application.

M

ProductMatching Service
Separate service that suggests suitable job listings to candidates based on their profile or behaviour in the JobShop.
ProductMessenger Channel
In ChatAgent: a WhatsApp Business API account. Each channel is represented by a mobile number and its associated WhatsApp Business API account.
ProductMID (Market Intelligence Dashboard)
talentsconnect intelligence module providing data-driven insights into labour market conditions, salary benchmarks and workforce trends. Available standalone or bundled with the JobShop.
ConceptMultiposting
The ability to publish a single job listing simultaneously across multiple JobShops.

N

MetricNRR (Net Revenue Retention)
Share of recurring revenue from existing customers including expansion, minus churn. NRR > 100% = the customer base is growing. See also: GRR.

O

ProductOctonomy
External AI provider integrated with talentsconnect. Develops AI-powered workflow agents. Use cases: UC-1 Escalation Mail Agent, UC-2 Daily Delivery Dashboard, UC-3 Onboarding Cadence Agent.
ConceptOffer (Job Listing)
Published job listing in the JobShop that candidates can apply to. Note: an Offer is not an employment contract, but the advertised position.
TechnicalOrigin
In ChatAgent: a marketing source assigned to a tenant. Multiple origins can exist per tenant. A job-origin combination generates its own Short URL for candidate source tracking.
MetricOTIF (On Time In Full)
Delivery performance metric: measures whether work was completed on time (On Time) and in full (In Full).

P

RolePerformance Call (PC)
Regular review meeting between CSM and customer. Topics: JobShop performance, open issues and planned activities.
ProductPlanhat
Customer success platform: manages customer relationships, tracks health scores, runs automated workflows.

R

RoleRecruiter
User in talentsconnect home who can publish jobs, distribute them via GoHiring, manage pages and access analytics dashboards.
MetricRecruiting Efficiency
Analytics area in the JobShop with cost metrics per funnel stage: Cost per Visitor, Cost per Click on Apply, Cost per Application, Cost per Interview, Total Acquisition Costs (TAC).
Producttalentsconnect home / talentsconnect Home
Admin area for recruiters: create and publish jobs, manage pages and access analytics dashboards.
ProductRecruitMe
Inbox-like feature in ChatAgent: recruiters can create candidate contacts, read messages and send them directly.
ConceptRevenue Tribe
Sales-side organisational unit – includes Account Directors, Account Managers, SDRs and Revenue Operations.

S

ConceptSaaS (Software as a Service)
Software delivery model: applications are hosted by the provider and delivered over the internet as a subscription. talentsconnect is a B2B SaaS company.
ProductSearch & Filter Page
Page type in the JobShop: candidates can search all available jobs and filter by location, category or job type.
ConceptScreening Question
Job-specific questions from the ATS that are asked to candidates in ChatAgent during the application process. Enable an initial pre-qualification directly in the chat.
TechnicalShort URL
In ChatAgent: a URL in the format https://{tenant}.pitchyou.de/ABCDE that identifies a unique job-origin-group combination. Used to track candidate sources.
TechnicalSite
In ChatAgent: a location assigned to a job. Multiple sites can be assigned to a single job.
ConceptSquad / Sprint
Squad: Small, cross-functional product development team (e.g. JobShop Squad).
Sprint: Fixed development cycle (typically 2 weeks) with defined backlog items.
TechnicalSSO (Single Sign-On)
Authentication mechanism: a single login grants access to multiple systems. Used at talentsconnect for internal job boards.
RoleSuper Admin
ChatAgent user with access to all tenants and all features. Certain tenant-specific settings can only be configured by Super Admins.
ProductSurvey / Wizard
JobShop questionnaire that guides candidates through a series of questions and leads them to relevant job results.

T

ProductTemplate Message
ChatAgent message sent by a recruiter to open a WhatsApp conversation with a candidate. Must be pre-approved by Meta. Can contain placeholders that are replaced when sent.
ConceptTenant
A talentsconnect customer. Each tenant has its own database but shares the application servers (Multi-Tenancy Level 2).
ConceptTier (Customer Tier)
Segmentation system for prioritising customers by ARR size and strategic value. Tier classification influences CSM assignment, support priority and contact frequency.

U

TechnicalUTM Parameters
URL tags (source, medium, campaign, etc.) used to track traffic origin. Used in the JobShop to attribute visits and applications to channels and campaigns.

V

TechnicalVanity
Unique, human-readable identifier for a JobShop (e.g. "meinunternehmen"). Used in URLs and configurations to identify a customer's JobShop.
ProductVONQ
Programmatic job advertising and multiposting partner. Enables distribution of job ads across a wide range of job boards via the talentsconnect platform.

W

ProductWA Application (WhatsApp Application)
ChatAgent feature: candidates apply directly via WhatsApp, without an external website or traditional form.
ProductWBA (WhatsApp Business Account)
WhatsApp Business account that a customer must set up before the ChatAgent WhatsApp channel can go live. Successful WBA setup is a prerequisite for the WA Application.
ProductWebchat
Web-based AI chat interface from ChatAgent on the careers page. Candidates can ask questions about jobs and apply through a conversational interface.
