Wondering where your applicants come from? So far we have said: "Via the JobShop." But the real question remains: How did they get to the JobShop in the first place?
Our answer is now: "Look in the Recruiting Home Dashboards." But you certainly want to know for each applicant which source brings the highest return on investment.
From now on, we can track the original source information together with the application through the entire Candidate Journey! We need more transparency so that you can better evaluate which channel ultimately delivers the right candidates.
In order to identify a channel, URL parameters are used in online/performance marketing for jobs. These are already appended to the URL when forwarding from a channel to the JobShop and the corresponding job. In addition to the familiar UTM parameter "?utm_source=", these can also be system-specific parameters such as "?_pc=" for Personio. Such parameters can be inserted into a job URL either manually, automatically via a system or via the sharing function in the Recruiting Home.
These parameters are therefore necessary to identify the source and guide it through the applicant journey. To ensure that the applicant's original source is also available for evaluation after the application, it must be forwarded to third-party systems via an interface or attached to other application options such as forwarding to an application URL. The original source should also be recorded and transmitted when using the e-mail application.
Here is an overview of the new functions:
1. Transferring the source when forwarding to the application URL:
- When clicking on "Apply" in the JobShop, the original source is appended to the application URL.
2. Transfer of the source when exporting the application via an interface to an ATS:
- By making adjustments to the interface, the source can be transferred to the applicant tracking system (ATS).
3. Transferring the source when exporting the application via the interface to Personio:
- The specific channel parameter of Personio can be transferred to Personio via APM.
4. Transfer of the source for the application by e-mail:
- When using a quick application by e-mail, the source information is displayed as an additional value in the attachment of the e-mail application.
As the parameter information is stored in the user session of the browser, it is retained across different click paths of the user. The prerequisite is, of course, that the user remains in the same browser session. Our standard privacy policy has been extended for this function and does not require any special consent from the user.
