SSO-Authentication

Modified on Mon, 25 Mar at 2:53 PM

In this article, we would like to introduce you to our SSO feature for the JobShop and the Recruiting Home.

But first: what is SSO and why might this be of interest to you?

The term single sign-on (SSO), often also translated as "single sign-on", describes an authentication procedure in information technology that essentially works as follows:

  • A user logs in to their workstation once.
  • This gives them access to all locally authorized computers and services, including the cloud, as long as they are at the same workstation.
  • All access rights automatically expire when logging out of the workstation. This happens either after a predetermined period of time or when the user manually performs a single sign-out or sign-off action.

SSO enables easy access to several interconnected but independent applications by requiring the user to log in only once instead of having to enter their login details for each software individually. Due to their user-friendliness, single sign-on procedures are used both in the private sector (web applications and private clouds) and in the professional environment (company-internal applications and portals on the intranet).

How is SSO used at talentsconnect?

With SSO, we enable you as a customer to manage your login via your company's own access and not to use any additional login data created by us.

SSO can be used to access both the Recruiting Home and the Career Shop.

What do we need from you so that it can be set up?

If SSO is an interesting topic for you, please get in touch with your direct contact person first and foremost.

We will then work with you to implement it and need your input:

  • an authorization endpoint of your identity provider
  • a token endpoint from your identity provider
  • Access data for implementing everything
  • a list of which authorization is to be set up for which accounts

We will be happy to discuss all further details and questions in a personal meeting! We look forward to hearing from you.
